TO EMBODY DAY AND NIGHT
The Sun and Moon in Judaism with Alissa Bernard Golbus — Mondays, 7- pm ET / 4- pm PT, December 1, 8, and 15
Our texts tell us the Divine Unity created the Sun and Moon to separate and rule day and night, demonstrate the flow of time, and illuminate the earth — indeed, their movement frames our understanding of the world in many ways. But what does our tradition say about how the luminaries themselves understand creation and their role in it? Join astrologer Alissa Bernard Golbus on a journey through the Jewish cosmos, and explore the ways the Sun and Moon impact our space, time, and souls.
This course will be taught via Zoom and can also be accessed via phone. All sessions will be recorded, allowing you to engage with the material even if you’re unable to attend live. For financial assistance and scholarship opportunities, please contact liviah@beitkohenet.org.
Cost: $100 + $25 non-refundable registration fee
