WATERS OF ENDLESS LIGHT: Towards a Kabbalistic Somatics with Rabbi Shir Meira Feit — Mondays, July 6, 13, 20, and 27, 12-1:15 pm ET / 9-10:15 am PT
Lurianic Kabbalah can be ornate, technical, and abstruse. Yet it is filled with myriad organic, elemental, poetic invitations. In this four-session course with Rabbi Shir Meira Feit, let’s collaborate on an embodied, contemplative approach to the language of consciousness as found in SEFER ETZ CHAIM, the foundational text of 16th-century masterfully mystical Rabbi Isaac “the Holy Lion” Luria.
We will meditate with root concepts including KAV (primal line/primitive streak), TZIMTZUM (contraction), CHALAL (void/womb), and RESHIMU (imprint/residue), integrating insights from embryology, tantra, interpersonal, and transpersonal psychology.
Prior meditation experience useful but not required. All texts will be provided in translation, and all sessions will be recorded, but each session will likely build on previous ones.
This series will be taught via Zoom and can also be accessed via phone. Though live attendance is encouraged, all sessions will be recorded, allowing you to engage with the material even if you’re unable to attend in real time. Cost: $150 + $25 non-refundable registration fee
